The curriculum of any Scottish secondary school starts with Broad General Education in first to third year then these skills and knowledge are developed in the Senior phase (S4-S6) in courses nationally assessed by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)

Millburn Academy is organised by departments who are responsible for learning in each subject area from S1 - S6.

In addition to subject skills and content learners are encouraged to develop generic study skills.
