Maths in the Pipeline
5 S4 pupils from Millburn attended the one day pupil event, Maths in the Pipeline; organised by TechFest-SetPoint and assisted by oil and gas industry professionals.
The event was held at UHI Executive Offices near Eden Court. A total of 10 schools from the area took part. Each pupil was allocated to a team for the day. Each pupil in the team was from a different school. Using and building on teamwork skills, pupils were required to apply their mathematical knowledge to problems relating to the oil and gas industry. A challenging day indeed!

In the morning a series of 3 workshops were held. A Business Challenge was set in the afternoon with calculations to be done, a deadline to meet and a presentation to be made.
Chris Deacon represented Millburn in the winning team!
All of the Millburn pupils did the school proud. Congratulations to all for their participation and sterling performance!
