MAFIA Meetings

The MAFIA Committee (Millburn Academy Friends in Action) meets roughly every 2 months to plan fundraising events and to review and agree bids submitted to the Committee for funds.  These bids will come from school groups or school departments to support activities or to help purchase equipment to support the quality of learning and experiences for pupils at Millburn Academy.   The Committee hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year.

The membership of the Committee is comprised of parents/carers and teaching staff.  As from September 2019, the Parent Council and MAFIA Committee will be a joint meeting due to numbers, with separate working groups in advance of fundraising events.

We would really benefit from additional members for our Committee.  Please do get in touch if you are interested.

The next Committee meeting is on: Wednesday 27th November 2019 at 7.30pm in the Staff room. This meeting will be held immediately after the Parent Council meeting, which commences at 6.30pm.
