History Department Staff

Mrs Gibson is Principal Teacher of the department.  She has been teaching at Millburn for the past 13 years.  She has a wide knowledge on many parts of History but her favourite time period is Nazi Germany.

Mr Hodgson has been teaching at Millburn since 2000.  His favourite topics are the First World War and Nazi Germany, though many might say it is the England 1966 World Cup winning team or the great Liverpool sides of the 1970s & 80s.

Mr Lyall joined the department in 2009.  His favourite time period is definitely the First World War which he studied for many years at University.  Also a keen actor, Mr Lyall played a major role in the 2009 school play “High School: the Musical”.

Mr Ross has been with the department since 2003.  The time period he most enjoys is the Middle Ages with the Scottish Wars of Independence as well as the Holy Roman Empire and Charlemagne being his favourite.  Mr Ross is also a long tortured Saint Mirren fan.

Mr Watson has taught at Millburn since 1983.  He is also a Principal Teacher of Guidance.  His favourite time periods are the Scottish Wars of Independence and Nazi Germany.
